Arrived in misty Lima and at Escuelab. A week to meet with the OLPC volunteers from the US, OLPC representatives, Finnish embassy, friends. [enperu2010]
Worked in one school, visited two more in Yunguyo and going back mid-June. Back to Puno since yesterday, leaving for Lima in the afternoon. [enperu2010]
Got to Yunguyo all fine and saw great shores of Titicaca. Now if only people were at work, answered phone, and teachers didn't have excuses. [enperu2010]
Finally the road seems to be open again so heading from the sunny city of Puno to work in villages of Yunguyo. Will report back in a week. [enperu2010]
Cruz del Sur bus was lame but here we are in Puno. Sdenka and José welcomed us warmly and it quickly became clear that they work hard here. [enperu2010]
After a week of coordinations in Lima, now leaving in bus for Puno via Arequipa for 10 days. Travel preparations: water, food, flashlight. [enperu2010]
Monday at embassy: we can try to apply for their funding. Tuesday at ministry: they are happy with our work. Wednesday in front of computer. [enperu2010]
At Escuelab. Wanted to return quickly for BookSprint, but had to take bus instead of plane. Cons: slower. Pros: seats, less fuel, cheaper. [enperu2010]
